CASARECCE OF TIMILIA:

Caserecce of Timilia produced by the Cooperative of Catenanuova  with timilia durum wheat flour.

Product with a low glycemic index, easily digestible and able to regulate intestinal functions thanks to the high fiber content.

Bronze-drawn pasta highly digestible due to the limited processing in the flour. This type of bronze-drawn pasta allows it to be more porous and to maintain the unaltered quality and values of the pasta itself.

The slow drying of the pasta itself at a low temperature is a fundamental process for the success of the product. In fact, this very slow process (about 60 hours) ensures that the wheat does not lose its vitamin properties, as well as its notably high protein content, which is above average.

What is Timilia Flour?

It is referred to as ancient Sicilian wheat because it managed to grow and bloom in periods of drought despite the adverse conditions.

It is very suitable for organic farming because it does not require chemical fertilizers due to its high resistance to atmospheric agents.

Preservation of Casarecce of Timilia

We recommend storing in a cool and dry place, away from heat sources.
